Ali Parandeh - Company founder and CEO

Ali started his studies at Kings College London where he got a BCS (Hons) in Biotechnology and then went to do a PhD in Genetic Engineering. He has also been a Member of the London Institution of Analysts and Programmers since 1997.
Ali thrives on teaching and passing on his knowledge. He has published five books and is an active contributor to many magazines and news papers. His passion has always been development of databases and programming and Urbytus is the latest example. Ali is also the founder of Electronbox and PC Doctor and Business Development which are both operating profitably since 2000.

Ali, the man with the vision and the mission. His greatest quote “This is a 10 minute job!” Even if you finished it yesterday, it is still 24 hours too late. On the other hand it is never too late to go cycling, roller blading or reading just one more page of the FT before hitting bed, his second greatest quote according to Alex “That was the best book I’ve just read”.

Dominic Rogers - Programmer/Developer

Dominic is our chief programmer, database engineer and system administrator. Dominic has over 10 years experience as a PHP programmer and working with Linux servers that host and run the Urbytus network.

His particular ability in data presentation and user interface design sets him apart from all other programmers. Dominic has a collective knowledge of multiple web technologies, such as PHP, MYSQL, XML, CSS, Java Script and many more... In fact we believe he knows a little more than he tells us, as he is always helping his colleagues with the many tasks they get stuck with.

Chief programmer and the man who wants to have more precision and perfection than the boss himself. Although friends with Cliff, he is not so found of Bill. Master of Command line, we often find him lost in a black screen amongst lines of white bizarre characters.

Alexandra Penasse - Graphic and Webdesign

Alex started her career as a PR and quickly moved up to being the sales Assistant in Krupp Korpoplast in Germany. Being trilingual in German, English and Spanish, she moved up the ladder in several positions and finally spent as PA to manager at Equiprent GmbH for 6 years.

She moved to Spain in 2001 and started a new career in graphic and website design. She has designed hundreds of websites for small and multinational companies. Her strong skills in HTML, CSS couple with great visual and presentation skills have made her a great asset to the Urbytus team. Alex is highly organized and always on target.

Sometimes things need a woman’s touch. However apart from graphic design, Alex is also our in house German translator, not to mention, chief chef for her famous carrot cakes.

Niko Tome - Graphic and Web design

Niko was born in Spain of English/Spanish parents in Malaga. He started his career in 1998 working for the Villas & ... magazine in the Costa del Sol (yes that is the name of the publication) while he was finishing his studies in Graphic Design. During this period he completed a Multimedia Design course in Spain and also a SPPC (Stanford Professional Publishing Course) at Stanford University in California. He then went to work in Madrid as a freelance Graphic Designer for five years where he developed further experience working for some of the bigger international corporations such as Canon and KPMG as well as completing graphic design work for the European Parliament. He returned to the Malaga area in 2008 and joined the team at Urbytus in the early part of 2011 to work in the Graphics Design Department.

Chief graphic designer. Nothing is impossible as far as he gets his carrot cakes. (Could this be a reason why we need investors). Without him our planet (Urbytus) would look ugly, but the again the design room have their private terrace with a garden including a budget of €15 / month spend freely on whatever plant* they want. (*Restrictions apply to certain species like roses).

David Tomé

started his Internet career in 2003 with an SEO company, after studying web and graphic design. His past experience has provided him with a broad understanding of people and project management. Bilingual in Spanish and English David has run his own business since 2006 dealing mainly with corporate websites, e-commerce, content management systems, web maintenance, etc. David is highly motivated and with his skills in project management, marketing and customer relationships, he makes a perfect team member in Urbytus.

David the bus driver, or at least that’s what he calls himself since his main responsibilities are taking the kids to school and picking them up. Apart from that in his spare time, he is in charge of marketing, admin, client support, testing and product documentation. (We did consider at the beginning giving him a few carpets to test his marketing skills. we passed.
